Welcome to Horsley Kids, an Early Childhood Centre in western Sydney.

Families from Penrith, Liverpool, Blacktown, Fairfield and all other neighbouring suburbs attend Horsley Kids for its excellence in childcare and early years’ education. We are open 5 days a week, 50 weeks of the year from 7.30am – 5.30pm. Our qualified staff care for and educate children aged between six weeks and five years old.

Horsley Kids is conveniently located only two minutes’ drive from: M7 Freeway, Horsley Park Public Primary School, Marion Catholic Primary School (Our Lady of Victories Church and Parish) and Horsley Park local shops.

Horsley Kids is inspired by many educational philosophies and theories, including the Reggio Emilia approach and view children as strong, capable, and resilient. Each room is alive with colour, texture and soothing sounds; a seamless blend of decoration, artwork, books, building materials, art supplies and natural materials. The classrooms encourage the children to participate, discover, explore, and investigate. Educators encourage intelligence through imagination; using art as a language to represent ideas and express emotions; drawing, painting and sculpture are regular activities that promote creative thinking as are performance; music, dancing, dramatic play and puppetry.

Horsley Kids is guided by the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), that informs the foundation for ensuring that all children in early childhood education and care settings experience quality teaching and learning with a specific emphasis on play-based learning. The education program is a continual process, of an ongoing cycle that includes documenting, analysing, planning and evaluating each individual child and a group of children’s learning. A key feature in the Early Years Learning Framework is that planning and teaching for learning is achieved through play, providing a significantly clear distinction between early childhood education from other sectors of education. Fundamental to the framework is the view that children’s lives are characterised as ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’.

A snapshot from Horsley Kids...

What our Long Day Care Centre provides

Children will have the opportunity to grow at their own pace and develop a respect for others in a tolerant and non-stereotyped environment. Each classroom’s goal is to enhance learning and engage children in ‘high level thinking’. Through exposure to a variety of media and expressive materials, children are free to: choose, explore, observe, create and learn in a literacy-rich environment.

The centre will provide five (5) nutritious and tasty meals throughout the day. All menus follow the Balanced Dietary Guidelines and have been planned by a certified Dietician. We will provide fresh fruit and vegetables in all planned meals and organic foods when possible, e.g. Chemical-free chicken and seasonal vegetables, while all meats are minced onsite using only quality meats.

Horsley Kids is very proud that in our first Accreditation in 2006, we achieved High Distinctions in all Seven Quality Areas. The assessor claimed that no other new centre had achieved this result in all her 7 years of assessment.

We proudly achieved this exceeding rating again in 2009, 2013 and again in 2018 which was our most recent assessment and rating.
